The Musical Bridge
Music therapy tailored to your needs
What is music therapy?
Music Therapy is a treatment which addresses emotional needs using music and sounds. A safe, trusting relationship is built between the therapist and their clients.

Music Therapists are skilled musicians who are trained to a post-graduate level in music therapy. Their training entails practical musical and therapeutic skills and the theoretical study of different models of therapy. They are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Who can benefit from music therapy?

Music Therapy can be beneficial for people who, for a variety of reasons, find talking difficult. This may be due to illness or disability, or it may be that communicating without words is more accessible and comfortable for them.

Clients don’t need any musical skills to access music therapy. In sessions, there are percussion instruments which they are free to use as they choose.
